The Guelph Guild of Storytellers, founded in the early 90's, promotes the oral tradition of storytelling. Members explore the telling of myths, legends, fables and personal stories.
Guild Meetings: We offer Guild meetings once a month to try out stories and to plan our programme.
Evenings at the Boathouse: We tell the second Wednesday of the spring, summer and fall months. These performances are held at the Boathouse (Gordon Street at the Speed River bridge) and are open to the public. The monthly theme, see the bar at the left, is optional, and encourages experienced tellers to continue to expand their repertoires.
Special Guest for July is Mindy Wolcott. Mindy has appeared on the National Arts Centre small stage with the Ottawa Guild and told at their festival.
Tea and Tales at the Riverside Enabling Gardens: This summer we are once again teaming up with the Enabling Gardens at Riverside Park for Tea and Tales. We will feature one or two tellers, including some friends who aren't often at the Boathouse, each Friday at 10am. See the event calendar for details, or the bar at the left for the list of tellers.
Admission to all events is free, and donations are most welcome.Contact Sandy, 519-767-0017
