The Guelph Guild of Storytellers, founded in the early 90's, promotes the oral tradition of storytelling. Members explore the telling of myths, legends, fables and personal stories
We meet Spring through December.
Guild Meetings: We offer Guild meetings once a month to try out stories and to plan our programme. New and curious are welcome. Location changes monthly. Call for details.
Evenings at the Boathouse: We tell the second Wednesday of the spring, summer and fall months. These performances are held at the Boathouse (Gordon Street at the Speed River bridge) and are open to the public. The monthly theme, see the bar at the left, is optional, and encourages experienced tellers to continue to expand their repertoires. See the Guidelines in sidebar for open mic time.
Special Guest for December is Sya Van Geest.
Tea and Tales at the Riverside Enabling Gardens, Summers: 2008 was an other successfu season. We featured one or two tellers each week, including some friends who aren't often at the Boathouse. More details on the 2009 season will be announced later. Expect a change in the start time.
Admission to all events is free, and donations are most welcome. Contact Sandy, 519-767-0017
