Grand River Bead Society
The Grand River Bead Society (GRBS) was founded in 2002 by a group of bead enthusiasts who wanted to share their knowledge and inspire others about beads. It is a non-profit, volunteer group of people who share an abiding love of and enthusiasm for beads and beadwork.
The Grand River Bead Society includes bead makers, bead collectors, lampwork artists, jewellery makers, people who use beds for embellishment and people who just like to have fun with beads. Members come from Brantford, Cambridge, Elora, Fergus, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo and other surrounding cities.
Meetings occur once a month and are the core activity of the Grand River Bead Society (but you can find members of the group at shows across the country). During these meetings we chat, learn, show each other our work, and generally get inspired.
The Grand River Bead Society meets every 4th Monday of each month from September to June from 7:15 to 9:15 pm (with Annual General Meeting in May).
The location of the meetings is at the Evergreen Seniours Center, 683 Woolwich St, Guelph (parking is free).
If you like beads, the Grand River Bead Society us a great way to spend an evening.
